Corona Virus Safety Measures

Guidelines to Plan your Visit

Hogadon Basin Guests

  • Guests purchasing season passes are acknowledging that they attest, that they have not had exposure to any person with COVID-19 during the previous 14 days and that they are not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 at the time of arriving at Hogadon Basin Ski Area.
  • Lost and found items will be bagged, dated and kept for two weeks before discarded.

Hogadon Basin Staff

  • Staff is screened for COVID-19 symptoms daily.
  • Adherence to local, state, and federal guidelines for health and safety.
  • Face masks and plexiglass in areas of close contact with guests.

On the Mountain

  • Lift lines: Lift lines will use a larger maze format to promote social distancing between skiers. Guests are asked to use the tip to tail spacing of skis as a general guide for social distancing while waiting in the maze queue.
  • Lifts: The chairs are spaced approximately 50 feet apart and provide a constant directional airflow. The Magic Carpet “Mineshaft”, although covered, has optimal airflow and people will be spaced further a part for their riding and departing safety.
  • Slopes: Hogadon Basin has 75 skiable acres of terrain; the steady lift speeds and natural social distancing of skiing and snowboarding makes the experience on our mountain a relatively low outdoor risk activity.
  • Hogadon Basin Snowsports School will be open and taking lessons. Their on-snow learning format will be adjusted from seasons past to promote a safe learning environment for both instructors and students.

Hogadon Basin Lodge

  • Hand Sanitizer will be provided to guests at building entrances and exits.
  • The mountain restaurant and bar will be open and guests will be able to purchase food and beverages.  Outside food is still allowed in the lodge.
  • There will be additional cleaning of high touch surfaces and tables.
  • Personal Belongings: All items should be taken out of the lodge and placed in a vehicle or stored in a seasonal locker.  Please do not leave items unattended.

Mountain Sports Rentals

  • Mountain sports rentals will be open and renting ski and snowboard equipment
  • Guests in the rental shop will be limited at times.
  • Additional sanitation and distancing measures will be implemented as well so processing times for rentals may be longer than in the past.
  • Face coverings are required for guests and staff in the rental shop.
  • The rental shop is working on an enhanced reservation and communication system to allow guests to better plan their visit and get on the hill as fast as possible while respecting these public health guidelines.
